The successful Associate Structural Engineer will be representative of the culture and approach to work from, working closely with the Directors of the business, your role will be to grow and develop not only the team, but the success of the business through business development.

Associate Structural Engineer responsibilities at a glance…

• Design of structures to appropriate Statutory requirements and guidance from relevant Codes of Practice
• Preparation of appropriate documents, calculations, specifications and sketches suitable for all stages of the project from concept to Building Control submission and approval
• Liaise with BIM Technicians as appropriate to enable them to prepare suitable drawings for the relevant stage of the project
• Visit site to evaluate constraints on and/or progress of construction and that the constructed works reflect the design intent on the drawings
• Attend training or technical seminars that are demonstrated to be beneficial to both you and the business
• Provide guidance and support to Graduate and Project Engineers
• You will endeavour to enhance the reputation and contribute to the success of the business by applying yourself in the following areas:
  • Pursuing work opportunities with existing or new clients
  • Preparation of fee proposals in connection with projects
  • General business activities where appropriate
