We are excited to present a fantastic Structural Engineer, Buildings opportunity with a leading sustainable structural engineering consultancy. Our client, known for their award-winning portfolio of UK and international projects, is seeking a talented and motivated Senior Structural Engineer, Buildings to join their acclaimed Structures team in Ipswich.

This Structural Engineer, Buildings position will be working on a variety of projects including but, not limited to, Healthcare, Residential, Leisure Centres, Residential and Commercial.

Your Structural Engineer, Buildings Role:

As a Structural Engineer in the Building Structures department, you will:

  • Provide strategic direction to ensure technical quality, health and safety compliance, budget control, and timely project delivery.
  • Offer expert technical advice to clients, ensuring the delivery of high-quality services.
  • Act as a Client Relationship Manager, developing and maintaining strong client connections and generating business for various parts of the company.
  • Manage contracts, liaise with clients, attend design and site meetings, and oversee the preparation of design solutions, calculations, specifications, and reports.
  • Manage project costs and revenues, comply with CDM regulations, stay updated on industry developments, and mentor junior engineers.

What We're Looking For:

To succeed in this role, you should:

  • Be a qualified Civil or Structural Engineer, ideally chartered or near chartered with ICE or IStructE.
  • Have extensive experience in a similar role with a focus on development and project management.
  • Possess excellent design skills, be proficient in computer-based analysis, and have a thorough understanding of UK codes of practice, Design Standards, Building Regulations, and Health and Safety.
  • Be commercially focused, market-facing, and a positive role model for the team.
