Junior Mechanical Design Engineer

An established building services and sustainability consultancy has an immediate requirement for a junior mechanical design engineer to join their design team in their Buckinghamshire offices.

You would be required to assist the more experienced Engineers in order to gain experience and get a detailed working knowledge of all parts of the construction industry. You would need to become specialised in the mechanical engineering discipline, to formulate a career profile and, with development, you would gain experience to become a fully qualified engineer.

You would assist Senior Engineers with detailed design tasks, equipment, selection and drawing production.

You would need to understand principle components to system designs and the different types of systems. Awareness of design options and their application.

You would be required to carry out detailed design calculations and adopt a full understanding of computer design packages.You would need to develop an understanding of Legislations, Standards, Building Regulations and Codes of Practice.

You would need to learn and understand construction techniques and develop awareness of other design team disciplines.
