From the Muddy Dog Challenge to CHRIS in Miami, what Energi has been up to this month!
What has the Energi People team been up to over the last month? Find out in this round up of news and events from your technical recruitment specialists.

It’s been another busy month at Energi People with plenty of wins for clients, candidates and our team. Outside of work we’re playing just as hard! Here’s a summary of what the Energi team has been up to recently.
Team Energi enter the Muddy Dog Challenge
Earlier this month Peggy, Jess, Charlie, Vinnie and Bailey took part in the Muddy Dog Challenge to raise money for Battersea Dogs Home. If you don’t recognise these names that’s because they’re dogs not recruiters! The Energi pets pulled their owners through muddy obstacle after muddy obstacle in aid of this great charity, and had a fantastic day.
Everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves, especially MJ doing his impression of a Jesus Christ Lizard in the mud pit.
Energi’s End of the Year Awards
The award event of the year was held at Twickenham Stadium where the Energi team celebrated our successes and got motivated for the year ahead. Notable awards included:
- Bleeds Orange Award – James Mowat for living and breathing Energi People and being an inspirational team leader.
- Consultant of the Year – Sarah New (me!) for consistent billings and developing the market in the Caribbean, including bringing in Hannah Dalton to provide end-to-end recruitment services for our resort and hospitality clients in the region.
- Team of the Year – Admin team (or self-named Fab-min), made up of Marcia, Jemma and Kate were given a well-deserved award for all the support they provide the rest of the team.
Energi has taken a box at Twickers for the 2019/20 season and will be running events throughout the year for all the home England games, including the Quilter cup and 6 Nations. Watch this space for details!
CHRIS Conference Miami
Hannah Dalton and I attended the Caribbean Hotel & Resort Investment Summit (CHRIS) last week in Miami to meet clients and network with others in the industry. It’s the first time Energi has sent our Caribbean Recruitment Desk and we’re delighted to have such a strong offering for clients in the region.
Hannah and I will be sharing an update about this event next month.
Congratulations to Chris Brewser and his fiancé
In other news our Senior Structural Engineering Consultant Chris Brewser popped the question while on holiday in Bali! All the team wish the happy couple the best, and look forward to hearing more about their wedding plans nearer the big day.
