Key Responsibilities:
- Design and analysis of structural elements, including buildings, bridges, and other infrastructure.
- Collaborate closely with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to develop effective, cost-efficient solutions.
- Produce detailed structural designs and calculations, ensuring compliance with relevant codes and regulations.
- Participate in site visits and inspections to gather necessary data and ensure design integrity.
- Support senior engineers and project managers in delivering projects on time and within budget.
- Assist with the preparation of reports, presentations, and technical documentation.
- Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and technological advancements in structural engineering.
Requirements:
- BSc in Civil or Structural Engineering (essential), MSc in Structural or Civil Engineering (desirable).
- Strong understanding of structural design principles, analysis techniques, and construction materials.
- Proficiency in relevant design software (e.g., Tekla, AutoCAD, etc.).
- A good understanding of UK building regulations and codes of practice.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous professional development.
- Previous experience working on large-scale or complex projects is an advantage on UK projects. This UK experience is essential.
- Ability to work well in a team and manage multiple tasks effectively.
