As part of this award winning data center and MEP consultants strategic growth plans & significant project pipeline throughout the UAE and KSA, a unique opportunity has arisen for an experienced and technically gifted Principal ELV Engineer with a proven background in MEP ELV systems design and supervision for data centre / critical systems (mission critical) projects, to join their vibrant Riyadh office.

This role will suit an ambitious, technically gifted Principal ELV Engineer with natural gravitas and the ability to inspire others. You will be a natural communicator with strong technical ELV Design skills, PMC experience and excellent data center projects experience.

Key Responsibilities - Principal ELV Engineer

ELV System Design & Implementation

• Design ELV systems (Telecommunication, CCTV/Security) from conceptual to construction phases.
• Prepare tender packages, including detailed drawings and specifications.
• Review contractor submittals, shop drawings, and material approvals for compliance with project requirements.
• Conduct site inspections to ensure proper implementation of design standards.
• Coordinate with architects, structural, mechanical, and electrical engineers for seamless project execution.

Project Management & Coordination

• Lead the design review of IT, Telecom, ELV, BMS, Security, and Life Safety services.
• Evaluate submittals, shop drawings, and assist in selecting specialists based on budget, timeline, and construction scope.
• Participate in design review meetings and workshops.
• Document and manage design progress reports and meeting records.
• Liaise with local suppliers and contractors to ensure adherence to project standards.
• Supervise system installations, configuration, testing, and commissioning while ensuring compliance with safety standards and project timelines.
• Conduct quality checks and inspections to guarantee system performance and compliance.

✅ Education & Experience - Principal ELV Engineer

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, or a related field. Relevant certifications and extensive experience may be considered in place of a degree.
• Proven experience in ELV system design and project execution, with leadership experience preferred.

✅ Technical Expertise - Principal ELV Engineer

• Strong knowledge of ELV systems, including security, fire alarms, communication networks, access control, and audiovisual systems.
• Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD for technical drawings and schematics.
• Familiarity with industry codes, standards, and regulations for ELV system design and installation.

• Strong leadership and team management abilities.
• Excellent project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
• Analytical problem-solving skills to address technical challenges and propose solutions.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with clients, teams, and contractors.
• On-site supervision and construction coordination experience is a plus.
