As they continue to expand their team, our client is looking for an experienced Senior Structural Design Engineer to join their growing structures team in London. Key Responsibilities:

• Project Leadership: Take ownership of the design and analysis of structural elements for a variety of complex, high-profile projects, including buildings, bridges, and other infrastructure.
• Design Solutions: Collaborate closely with clients, architects, contractors, and multidisciplinary teams to develop innovative, cost-effective, and sustainable design solutions.
• Technical Expertise: Lead the production of detailed structural designs, calculations, and reports, ensuring compliance with relevant building codes, regulations, and industry standards.
• Team Leadership & Mentorship: Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers, helping them develop their skills and ensuring the quality and accuracy of their work.
• Client Management: Act as the primary point of contact for clients and key stakeholders, managing expectations and ensuring the timely and successful delivery of projects.
• Site Engagement: Participate in site visits and inspections to ensure designs are being implemented as planned and address any on-site issues promptly.
• Continuous Improvement: Stay abreast of the latest industry developments, best practices, and technological advancements to help drive continuous improvement within the team.

Requirements:

• Academic Qualifications: BSc in Civil or Structural Engineering (essential); MSc or Chartered status (CEng, MIStructE, or equivalent) is highly desirable.
• Experience: At least 5+ years of post-graduation experience in structural engineering, with a proven track record of leading and delivering large-scale or complex projects within the UK.
• Technical Proficiency: Advanced knowledge of structural design principles, analysis techniques, and construction materials, with experience using design software such as Tekla, AutoCAD, Revit, or similar.
• Regulatory Knowledge: Strong understanding of UK building regulations, codes of practice, and structural design standards.
• Leadership Abilities: Proven experience in leading projects, managing multidisciplinary teams, and mentoring junior engineers.
• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Problem-Solving: A proactive and solution-oriented approach to engineering challenges, with a strong focus on quality and attention to detail.
• UK Project Experience: Prior experience working on large-scale, high-profile projects in the UK is essential.
