Are you ready to shape the future of data centre infrastructure? Our client is looking for an experienced and innovative Manager of Electrical Engineering & Design to join their team. This role is pivotal in supporting the development of cutting-edge, cost-effective, and energy-efficient data centre facilities that meet the growing needs of their customers.
- Act as the subject matter expert on concurrently maintainable electrical power systems for data centres.
- Lead and oversee project-specific design activities, ensuring completion on schedule and within budget.
- Collaborate with third-party design consultants, approving project contract documents and ensuring compliance with company standards.
- Provide expert engineering guidance on projects, operations, and systems within existing facilities.
- Develop and maintain equipment specifications for owner-furnished and contractor-installed (OFCI) equipment.
- Support procurement through vendor submittal reviews, approvals, and factory witness testing.
- Update legacy basis of design documents and contribute to new designs for emerging business needs.
- Identify, recommend, and implement innovative technologies to optimize energy and cost efficiency.
- Communicate and enforce engineering and design policies, standards, and security measures.
- Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies to drive continuous improvement.
The Necessities:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in data centre design and electrical equipment specification for mission-critical facilities.
- Expertise in diesel engine standby generators, uninterruptible power supplies (UPS), and concurrently maintainable facility design.
- Engineering in Training (EIT) certification preferred, with progress towards Professional Engineer (PE) licensure.
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Teams, and PowerPoint.
- Baseline proficiency in AutoCAD, Bluebeam, and Adobe Acrobat.
