Our client is an award-winning and well known, design and engineering consultancy.
We are currently looking to recruit a permanent Principal / Associate Civil Design Engineers to join the expanding civils / structures team. This role will be based in Manchester with hybrid working.
The role
As a Principal / Associate Civil Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the project teams deliver civil infrastructure designs in exciting sectors such as power, defence, nuclear and life sciences. While leading the team and managing the costs, you will be responsible for resource management and meeting the schedule and quality criteria. You will have extensive experience of Autodesk Civil 3D, Microdrainage and AutoCAD and will be keen to mentor graduate engineers / technicians in both technical design aspects and BIM software integration.
A thorough understanding of earthworks design, below ground foul and surface water drainage design, pavement design, external works and 3D underground services co-ordination is required.
We would like to hear from you if you have:
Proven experience as a Senior / Principal / Associate Civil Design Engineer managing a project team of Civil Engineers within the built environment.
Experience with carrying out tender preparation for projects of all sizes, including fee estimates
Being the technical expert for your team
Able to mentor, train and develop junior engineers / graduate engineers
Are Chartered (or working towards Chartership) Civil/ Structural Engineer CEng MICE/ MIStructE
Expperience of water drainage and pavement design
Willing and able to obtain security clearance clearance if needed
Full Clean Current UK Driving Licence
Detailed knowledge and understanding of all aspects of civil design
