About the Associate Director - Civil + Structural role:

The civil and structural engineering team is nationally recognised for delivering sustainable and integrated designs. By effectively solving problems and collaborating with various disciplines throughout the design process, they have successfully supported clients across multiple sectors.

As the London C&S team continues to grow, the organisation is seeking an Associate Director who excels not only in leadership but also as a technical advisor. This role requires an individual who can leverage their experience to help the team tackle design challenges effectively.

The Associate Director will also contribute to project cost estimates, client engagement, and the daily management of the team. This position involves guiding projects, sharing knowledge, and mentoring junior engineers.

Key Objectives:

  • Ensure the regional C&S team performs in alignment with overall business objectives, both commercially and technically, by providing leadership and operational support.
  • Ensure the team has the right skills and resources to meet workload demands.
  • Maintain compliance with business quality and management systems, striving for continuous improvement.
  • Implement changes as directed by the Director and leadership team.

About the Candidate:

  • Chartered Member of the ICE and/or IStructE.
  • Extensive experience demonstrating strong leadership and management skills within project teams and broader departmental roles.
  • CSCS Card holder, along with recognised safety training such as TWC, NEBOSH, IOSH, or Nuclear Triple Bar.
  • SC clearance or eligibility for it.
  • Full, clean UK driving license.
