Vice President of Construction Operations
Location: Dallas, TX or Atlanta, GA
Travel: Up to 50% domestically
Compensation: Negotiable based on experience

Your impact to the business:

As the Vice President of Operations you will lead Construction Services in managing high-impact, mission-critical construction projects across the country. This role is responsible for ensuring efficiency, quality, and profitability across all construction operations. Reporting to the Senior Vice President, the VP of Operations will provide leadership and direction to project managers and construction teams, driving innovation, process improvement, and industry best practices.

  • Develop and implement strategic plans to meet construction goals and align with broader business objectives.
  • Lead and mentor construction teams, ensuring successful planning, scheduling, and execution of projects.
  • Oversee construction projects to ensure timely delivery within budget while maintaining quality and safety standards.
  • Manage resources including personnel, equipment, and materials to optimize efficiency.
  • Collaborate with HR and executive leadership to recruit, train, and develop staff.
  • Build and maintain relationships with vendors, subcontractors, and other stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, industry standards, and safety protocols.
  • Monitor project performance and resolve issues or risks proactively.
  • Develop and manage construction budgets, forecasts, and financial reporting.
  • Identify emerging technologies and industry trends to improve construction efficiency and project delivery.
  • Implement and track performance metrics and KPIs to ensure operational excellence.

The Necessities:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Construction Management or related field.
  • 10+ years of construction management experience, with a proven track record of success in leading large-scale, mission-critical projects.
  • Data centre construction experience is required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Project, Excel, PowerPoint, and CAD/Visio.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills with a "can-do" attitude.
  • Ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and problem-solve in real-time.
  • Willingness to travel frequently.
  • Ability to stand, walk, sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, and crouch.
  • Ability to lift equipment up to 100 pounds and work in confined spaces.
  • Must be able to work both indoors and outdoors in varying conditions.
