Job Title: Critical Facilities Technician (CFT)
Location: Des Moines, IA
On-site; Shift working hours
Compensation: Negotiable based on experience

Your impact to the business:
As a Critical Facilities Technician, you will play a key role in the day-to-day operations of the data center, focusing on the critical and non-critical infrastructure, equipment, and systems. You will be part of a team that delivers 100% uptime by adhering to best practices and safety standards, ensuring reliable data center performance. With a focus on ongoing development and learning, you will work to improve operational excellence and maintain a high level of accountability within the facility.
- Operate and maintain critical and non-critical data center infrastructure.
- Ensure 100% uptime and manage risks with the CFT team.
- Monitor power, cooling, and environmental conditions in data halls.
- Use CMMS to track and manage maintenance tasks.
- Perform preventive maintenance on electrical and mechanical equipment.
- Resolve technical issues and respond to emergencies quickly.
- Assist with development and review of procedures and maintenance inspections.
- Escort and oversee contractors, ensuring compliance with facility rules.
- Conduct facility rounds and assist with operations, construction, and commissioning as needed.
The Necessities:
- High school diploma required; military or technical school training preferred.
- 2-4+ years of experience in Mission Critical Environments.
- Electrical or mechanical license preferred.
- Must complete Level I training within 30 days and Level II training within 60 days of employment.
