The Position as a Associate / Business Unit Leader - Structural

They are currently looking for a Associate / Business Unit Leader - Structural to take charge of their growing Structures Team in Birmingham. This team consists of five engineers and technicians and is part of a broader network of approximately 50 technical experts spread across multiple offices.

The role involves leading a wide array of projects across sectors like healthcare, commercial, industrial, residential, and education, with budgets exceeding £100 million. High-profile projects include The Collaborative Teaching Laboratory for the University of Birmingham, Motorways Sports Village & Waterpark in Derby, and Exchange Square.

The successful candidate will be responsible for guiding the team technically, providing mentorship, and fostering professional development across the group.

The Ideal Candidate

The ideal person will have significant experience managing and delivering projects of various scopes. They should be skilled in developing design programmes, as well as managing project finances, including overseeing WIP, debt, and profitability.

Strong leadership skills are essential, as the role requires serving as a role model and inspiring those around them.

The ideal candidate should be a chartered engineer or close to achieving chartered status, working under a recognised professional body's training programme.
