Senior Chartered Structural Engineer – People-Focused Engineering Consultancy

Location: Liverpool

Full-time | Flexible/Hybrid Working | Salary: £45000 – £55000

The company you would be working for are seeking a Senior Chartered Structural Engineer to help lead and deliver meaningful, technically excellent structural solutions across sectors including education, healthcare, heritage, and regeneration.

 

What You’ll Be Doing

You’ll take a key role in delivering design-led, collaborative structural engineering projects from concept through to construction. Working closely with clients, contractors, and multidisciplinary teams, you’ll guide junior engineers, contribute to project strategy, and uphold quality and innovation across every stage.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the structural design and delivery of small to mid-scale projects across public and private sectors

  • Mentor and support early-career engineers and technicians within a collaborative studio environment

  • Liaise directly with clients, architects, and contractors to ensure robust, buildable solutions

  • Maintain compliance with design codes and quality standards

  • Champion sustainable design and social value in every project

About You

  • Chartered Engineer (CEng) with ICE or IStructE (or equivalent)

  • Solid experience working on UK-based structural design projects, particularly in education, healthcare, and/or heritage sectors

  • Strong design and technical skills with software such as TEDDS, Tekla, Revit, and SCIA or similar

  • Confident communicator with a proactive, people-first mindset

  • Passionate about engineering that enhances lives and communities
