Lead Engineering Excellence and Drive Innovation in Building Services
Are you an experienced Electrical Engineer ready to lead complex projects and inspire engineering teams? An established and forward-thinking M&E consultancy in Manchester is seeking a Principal Electrical Engineer to spearhead high-profile building services projects and foster lasting client relationships.
Your Impact
You’ll take charge of medium-sized projects from concept to completion, serving as a technical authority and trusted client liaison. Collaborating with architects, contractors, and internal design teams, you’ll shape engineering solutions that stand out in innovation and excellence.
What You’ll Be Doing:
Design and specify electrical building systems, facilities, and components
Develop and present electrical engineering concepts and final proposals
Manage and mentor engineering teams and supervise project delivery
Coordinate project documentation, calculations, QA processes, and client briefings
Lead client meetings (some international travel may be required)
Drive technical reviews, audits, and ensure deliverables meet high standards
Who You Are
7+ years of experience in building services electrical engineering
Strong background in project coordination and client-facing leadership
Degree-qualified in Building Services Engineering (or equivalent)
Chartered Engineer or actively working towards chartership
Proficient in project software tools and quality control standards
An effective communicator with people management and delegation skills
