ELV Resident Engineer – Data Centres
MEP Building Services | Data Centres | Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates
Do you have a proven track record delivering ELV, BMS and ICT systems for major data centre projects?
Are you looking for a technically challenging site-based role within one of the region’s most respected multidisciplinary design consultancies, supporting some of the world’s most advanced facilities?
THE ROLE
As part of a world-class data centre design and delivery team, a fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced ELV Resident Engineer to join a leading consultancy’s expanding MEP division in a site based capacity in Abu Dhabi.
This position is site-based, acting as the client’s representative and ensuring technical design compliance across ELV, ICT, BMS, EPMS and controls systems for hyperscale and multi-tenant colocation data centres.
You’ll act as the bridge between design and construction — coordinating between contractors, engineers, and the client to ensure the successful commissioning and handover of complex ICT and ELV infrastructure.
Key responsibilities include:
Overseeing installation, QA/QC, witness testing, and commissioning of ICT, EPMS, BMS and ELV systems.
Reviewing technical submittals, method statements, and site documentation.
Managing site progress reports, RFIs, and inspection records.
Ensuring compliance with design drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
Liaising with client representatives, contractors, and design teams to maintain programme and design intent.
This is an ideal role for an experienced site engineer from an ELV / ICT / building services background who thrives in high-performance, data centre environments.

Experience in commissioning management, testing & handover.
Proficiency in AutoCAD and Bluebeam; Revit and Navisworks familiarity advantageous.
