Associate Director – Structural Engineering Job, London

The ideal candidate will have a distinguished track record when it comes to all aspects of leading various high value projects in London and the South East. Your skill set should include the ability to coordinate the overall success of varied projects as well having extensive business acumen when it comes to client development and the overall success of projects when under your control. Previous experience will see you being able to lead and develop teams on schemes that vary from £10m to £100m.

It is essential to have specific and comprehensive technical knowledge in regards to design of RC based projects as well as an understanding of other materials. Knowledge of Eurocodes, particular BS EN 1992: (Eurocode 2) as well as software experience including SCIA, TEKLA or equivalent. Those with Chartered Engineer status would be preferred.

Due to the nature of this role, it is essential to have existing contacts within the industry that may include contractors, architects and clients to continue to build the network for the consultancy as well as the ability to win further work for the practise which can be developed into repeat business for the foreseeable future. Extensive experience with the overall project management of schemes is essential in which you have been involved from concept to completion.

The consultancy has a significant presence in the London market as well as multiple offices outside of the UK. The business has numerous disciplines including building services, temporary works, civil engineering and transportation to name a few in which they have established an impeccable reputation which has seen them go from strength to strength despite the difficulty economic climate over the last 15 months.

On offer is a salary and package that is negotiable but would estimate to be in the realms of £65,000 – £75,000 depending on experience. There is a clear path of progression in the coming years in which the opportunity to lead the office with another Director is forecast in the coming years for ambitious individuals.
