An excellent opportunity to work for a stable and successful company who can offer continuous professional development has arisen as they are looking to recruit a Commercial Gas Engineer to join their team in Croydon. The successful Engineer will be customer focused, with good communication skills, and able to carry out work in a professional manner. The Commercial Gas Engineer will be a part of an established team that maintains a large district heating system in South London (within the M25).

Key Duties

Repair and install commercial heating parts to communal dwelling systems, replacing thermostatic valves, pump, radiators and other associated equipment, repair of pipework and attend breakdowns.
Ensuring all Quality Management and Compliance Documentation for HIU Servicing and reactive repair activities are correct and complete for each site
Provide technical assistance to clients, and work colleagues whilst fulfilling and meeting both Quality Standards and HSE Objectives
Closely manage customer HSE objectives and Quality Standards and ensure the adoption of Safe Working Practices during the maintenance and repair of the plant
Make effective recommendations for continuous improvement
Servicing Hydraulic Interface Units to ensure the HIU is energy efficient and to minimise breakdowns until the next service interval
React to Hydraulic Interface Units to investigate the cause and effect and ensure a first-time repair Be versatile to support all department works, servicing HIUs and reacting to HIU breakdowns when needed.
Support Energy Centre in planned or reactive works

Skills & experience

The Heating Engineer must be a time-served engineer and they must hold over 5 years of industry experience to be considered.
You will hold a minimum of NVQ / C&G L2 in Plumbing & Heating or equivalent.
Energy Efficiency knowledge and experience
Previous experience in diagnosing faults on commercial heating systems
Full driving licence.
Excellent organisation and time management skills.
Ability to work alone and within a team.
