Construction Project Manager – Contract Basis Job, Cambridge

We have a current opportunity for a Construction Project Manager on a contract basis. The position will be based in Cambridge with the requirements to travel further.

A large fit out client of mine are looking to strengthen their team, they require an experienced Construction Project Manager. This important role needs someone with previous project management or site management experience.

The experienced Project Manager will:

Have previous Construction PM or Site Management experience
Ideally have SMSTS or SSSTS qualification
Have a solid technical background with understanding or hands-on experience within Commercial Fit Out projects
Proficient in RAMS/CPHSP and Health and Safety on site
A hand on, can-do attitude with the ability to be flexible in a growing business that is extremely busy
Work well on your own but also in a team
Ideally have contacts for various tradespeople
Have excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
Be computer literate
Be agile and flexible
This role needs someone with the correct positive and can-do mindset/attitude to take hold of a project as soon as it’s been signed off by the client and run with all the way through to finish.

Responsibilities:

Coordinate internal resources as well as third party suppliers and contractors for the execution of projects (handling 2 to 3 key projects at any one time)
Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget
Developing project scopes, program and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility
Ensure resource availability and allocation
Have regular communication with the end client within progress meetings
Develop a detailed project plan to track progress and oversee all trades
Measure project performance using appropriate systems, tools and techniques
Report and escalate to management as needed
Manage the relationship with all parties
Perform risk management to minimize project risks and ensure that all Health and Safety regulations are adhered to
Establish and maintain relationships with all project parties
Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation
