Accounts Assistant – Facilities background – Horley

My client is a leading provider of integrated facilities and corporate real estate management. They are recruiting a Facilities and Accounts Coordinator to join the team located in Horley. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting the Finance Manager.

Role Summary

This role will report into the Finance Manager and be responsible processing payments, completing expense reports, travel reimbursements, and any other accounting transactions related to Accounts Payable function. You will also assist with other legal entities, including maintaining general ledger records and reconciliations, performing financial analyses and reporting, and supporting the needs of the Finance department and organisation.

As Accounts Assistant, main responsibilities will include:

  • Being responsible for company expenses and reconciling these on a monthly basis
  • Ensure the Accounts Payable function runs smoothly and accurately- authorising payment for purchases by reconciling requisitions/orders with invoices and maintaining receiving documentation
  • Assist in the monthly financial close process by recording journal entries, preparing schedules and reconciliations, and maintaining accurate supporting documentation
  • Assist in the preparation of daily/weekly bank reconciliations
  • Analyse and report monthly financial and operating results to management

Experience Required:

  • Relevant experience in a similar facilities admin role or customer service environment and exhibit key skills within this area
  • Good H&S knowledge
  • Strong team player with a passion for customer service
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills
  • PC literate i.e. Microsoft systems
  • Diplomatic, tactful and approachable
  • Business minded, change orientated and proactive
  • Willingness to learn new systems and procedures
  • Self-motivated, resourceful, resilient and sound problem-solving ability
  • An integrator and team player who can inspire others to work together
