THE ROLE
As part of this award-winning consultant’s growth plans, an exciting opportunity has arisen for a determined Intermediate Structural Engineer – Temporary Works and/or Geotechnical with at least 2 years’ industry experience to join this in-house design team for a leading construction engineering specialist.
This role would suit a Structural Engineer from any Structural Engineering discipline but who holds a willingness to learn a new field (Temporary Works/ Geotechnical) and is keen to further their career.
Delivering interesting & challenging projects and working as part of a successful team is vital to this role. You will be involved in a vast variety of projects and have the chance to broaden your horizons for the future career you’re looking to build.
THE COMPANY
Experts in their field, this company holds over 20 years’ experience in engineering and covers all areas of temporary works, refurbishment and foundations in the building and civil engineering sector. In addition to their exceptional temporary works, they’re also a specialist provider in geotechnical design services.
Although they are part of a larger construction group, this company also act as an independent consultant to other major property clients and construction companies. You will be provided with fantastic support through all aspects of design and construction and will be learning from senior staff with a breadth of experience.
REQUIREMENTS
Along with the above-mentioned skills and experience, a degree in Civil/Structural/Geotechnical Engineering is essential. Additionally:
- Ambition to achieve Chartership in MICE and/or MIStructE
- You will have at least 2 year’s industry experience working within an engineering consultancy
- This experience will derive from any one of the Civil, Structural or Geotechnical terrains
- Motivation to learn and the capability to work collaboratively within a busy team
