Maintenance Operations Manager – London


Our client has been playing a key role in exceptional FM & Maintenance contracts for over 50 years!

The Maintenance team offer on-going planned and preventative office maintenance to ensure their clients building services continue operating at optimum levels and the risk of breakdowns are dramatically reduced. With a wealth of experience in the mechanical & electrical industry, they offer premium building services maintenance.

The Maintenance Team assists with:

Planned preventative and reactive maintenance on Retail and Commercial Contracts

Small office works and modifications with an M&E bias

The Maintenance provide 24/7 coverage for clients, with a personalised and tailored service.

The Role

To manage the service delivery of the PPM Programmes, M&E small works projects and reactive maintenance to clients within the London region.

To give technical and practical M&E related advice and deliver an excellent service to the highest standards of quality and health & safety to the client.

To assist the Business Development Manager in assessing tenders, site surveys, quotations, preparing asset lists, labour and material costings.

To assist with the delivery of increased turnover and profitability

This role will be a mobile role and will be responsible for the management and performance of the mobile engineering team and the office support team ensuring the Maintenance Division achieves its KPIs, objectives and financial targets.

This role offers the opportunity to engage in the strategic development of the Maintenance division and to further develop existing contracts and deliver an exceptional client service.

Required Skills and Experience

Experience in managing an Office Maintenance and Hard FM service

Expert knowledge of the legally required standards for M&E

A qualification in health & safety (NEBOSH or IOSH) is desirable

Operational management and commercial awareness

Strong people management skills

High energy, enthusiasm and ability to work under pressure

Highly organised with ability to plan, prioritise and manage work loads

Can-do attitude and a client service focused mindset is essential

Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate at all levels

Able to work well under pressure, and make sound decisions, while being reliable and dedicated

A flexible, team working attitude is essential, as well as strong leadership and customer service skills.

Strong English language skills are a must, both written and verbal, as well as an excellent phone manner.
