Repairs Scheduler Job, Caldicot

Currently working with a well-established family run business who provide M&E services to homes across the South West & South Wales. Due to the exciting growth of the business, they are looking for a Scheduler to join their team in Caldicot. The successful candidate will responsible for receiving incoming calls, liaising with customers, and dispatching work to a team of plumbers, gas engineers, drainage engineers, electricians and bathroom fitters.

Daily Duties & Skills

The role will involve discussing required work with engineers in order to calculate a price and also to consider health and safety requirements of each job.
You will therefore need a good knowledge of the plumbing and gas industry.
You will need to efficiently assess the priority of a job and make clear decisive judgements.
As well as the day to day dispatching this role will include other responsibilities, such as dealing with general queries and complaints, overseeing and monitoring requirement of health and safety, ensuring the engineers are stocked with necessary materials, and any other duties required in the day to day running of the company.
You will need the ability to remain calm and positive under pressure and to be flexible in order to run an efficient service.
Excellent team, multi-tasking and motivational skills are key to this role as well as the ability to effectively resolve issues.

Skills

Previous experience in a fast-paced busy environment
Excellent telephone manner, ability to juggle calls coming in at the same time
Ability to be efficient, direct the conversation, take bookings quickly and to conclude phone calls quickly
Provide accurate notes in every call.
To plan engineer routes efficiently, using a good geographical knowledge of South Wales and the South West.
Experience quoting for and pricing up work
Proactively reschedule workload to action emergency calls.
To be able to deal with impatient customers
To be able to handle and investigate queries and complaints efficiently
Excellent English, clear handwriting
Background in gas/plumbing – desirable
Excellent IT skills and to be able to handle paperwork with care and attention

Hours and Salary

Monday to Friday 7.30am – 5.30pm

To work one Saturday in three.

Salary – £35,000.00
