As a Senior Mechanical Project Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and delivering mechanical aspects of our projects, ensuring successful outcomes and client satisfaction. Working closely with cross-functional teams, including engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers, you will be responsible for managing all mechanical project activities from initiation to completion. Your expertise in mechanical engineering and project management will be instrumental in ensuring the timely and cost-effective execution of projects, while maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety.

Senior Mechanical Project Manager Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the mechanical aspects of assigned projects, ensuring adherence to project scope, schedule, and budget.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to define project objectives, requirements, and deliverables.
  • Develop and maintain project plans, including detailed schedules, resource allocations, and procurement strategies.
  • Oversee the selection and coordination of subcontractors and suppliers, ensuring compliance with project specifications and contractual requirements.
  • Monitor project progress, identifying and addressing any potential issues or delays, and implementing appropriate corrective actions.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and health and safety guidelines throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Conduct regular site visits to monitor construction activities, provide guidance, and ensure compliance with project plans and quality standards.
  • Prepare and present project status reports to senior management and stakeholders, highlighting key achievements, risks, and mitigation strategies.
  • Foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment, mentoring and supporting project team members to achieve their full potential.
  • Conduct post-project reviews, capturing lessons learned and implementing process improvements for future projects.

Senior Mechanical Project Manager Requirements:

  • PRINCE2, APMP or Degree in Project Management is essential
  • HNC / HND or Degree qualification in an engineering subject is advantageous.
  • Health & Safety Qualification such as SMSTS, IOSH etc. desirable
  • Proven relevant construction experience
