Job Description

Senior Thermal Modelling Technician Job, Berkshire

An established multi-disciplinary has an immediate requirement for a senior thermal modeller to join the sustainability team. You should have at least 3 years’ experience of thermal modelling using IES and be a registered Low Carbon Consultant.

Essential technical skills:

  1. Thermal modelling utilising IES.
  2. SAP Calculations.
  3. sBEM Calculations.
  4. Energy Reporting (GLA compliant reports and similar for local authorities outside of London).
  5. Overheating calculations.
  6. Good understanding of M&E services systems, solutions and integration.

Required consultancy skills:

  1. Project management – managing multiple projects, deadlines, budgets and clients.
  2. Experience delegating work to junior colleagues, reviewing and mentoring.
  3. Confident speaking to clients and building client relationships, winning work.
  4. Confident attending and engaging at client / design team meetings.

Preferred but not essential:

  1. Daylight/sunlight modelling experience.
  2. Passivhaus and PHPP
  3. Whole life cycle carbon analysis.
