Structural BIM Manager Job, London
I am currently working wit ha medium sized company who are committed to innovation and excellence in structural engineering. As a leader in the industry, they are looking for a dynamic Structural BIM Manager to join their team and drive their Building Information Modelling (BIM) on the structural side to new heights.
Position Overview: The Structural BIM Manager will be responsible for overseeing the implementation and management of BIM processes and standards within the structural engineering projects. This role is essential for ensuring seamless collaboration, efficiency, and accuracy in projects.
- Develop and maintain BIM standards, protocols, and work flows specific to structural engineering projects.
- Collaborate with project teams to implement BIM processes from project initiation through completion.
- Lead the creation of 3D models, drawings, and documentation using BIM software (e.g., Revit).
- Ensure the accuracy and consistency of BIM models and data throughout projects.
- Conduct regular model reviews, clash detection, and coordination to optimise project outcomes.
- Train and mentor staff on BIM best practices and software usage.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in BIM technology.
- Collaborate with clients, architects, and other stakeholders to meet project BIM requirements.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience in managing BIM processes in structural engineering projects.
- Proficiency in BIM software, particularly Autodesk Revit.
- Strong knowledge of structural engineering principles and practices.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
- Experience with clash detection, 4D scheduling, and BIM coordination tools.
- BIM certification is a plus.
