One Love – Hurricane Relief Fundraiser

Hurricane Dorian tore apart large parts of the Bahamas in September. On Saturday 23rd November Energi People are hosting a One Love fundraising event to support the Sandals Foundation Hurricane Relief Fund. Read on for more details.

It’s tragic that two years on from our One Love fundraiser for Hurricane Irma, I’m organising another fundraising event to support the hurricane relief effort in the Bahamas.

Another devastating hurricane that has destroyed lives and turned peoples’ livelihoods upside down. As recruiters in the Construction and Hospitality sector in the Caribbean, we have clients and candidates who have been directly affected.

Here are a few photos of some of the damage sent in by a client of ours.

Our previous fundraiser was a huge success and raised almost £2,000 for the British Red Cross. I hope we can exceed this total at our next One Love event in November.

One Love – Saturday 23rd November 19

We are hosting our One Love fundraiser at the West Indian Association in Farnborough. Entry is £5 and we’ve got some great DJs lined up including Daddy Ruffneck, General Wayne, Dan Dread and Rude Boy’s Murph and Mabbs. They’ll also be fantastic Caribbean food from Wilfie. A charity auction will be held to raise further funds. We hope you can attend.

All money raised at the event, and via our JustGiving page, will go to the Sandals Foundation Hurricane Relief Fund – you can find out more about this organisation here.

If you can’t get to Farnborough in November we would really appreciate your donation to this relief fund. Please click on the link below to donate:
