A well established engineering consultancy is seeking an Associate Director / Director – Civil Engineering to lead and grow its residential development team in Leeds.
The successful Associate Director / Director will play a pivotal role in the continued expansion of the business, working closely with senior leadership to develop client relationships, oversee project delivery and mentor engineers within the team. This opportunity offers the chance to influence strategy, shape technical standards and drive growth within a highly successful residential development division.
Working on a variety of residential development schemes, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality infrastructure solutions whilst helping to strengthen the consultancy’s presence in the Leeds market.
We Are Looking For An Associate Director / Director Who:
- Has experience operating as an Associate Director, Director or senior management-level engineer;
- Holds professional membership with a recognised engineering institution;
- Has extensive experience delivering residential development infrastructure projects;
- Is proficient in AutoCAD, Civil 3D and MicroDrainage;
- Has a strong understanding of SuDS, highways and drainage design;
- Possesses detailed knowledge of approval processes including Section 38 and Section 104 agreements;
- Has experience managing and mentoring engineers and technicians;
- Can develop and maintain strong client relationships;
- Has excellent communication, commercial and report-writing skills.
As The Successful Associate Director / Director, You Will:
- Lead and develop the residential engineering team;
- Deliver highways, drainage and infrastructure solutions across residential development projects;
- Manage project resources, programmes and technical delivery;
- Work closely with Directors to support business growth in Leeds and beyond;
- Develop relationships with developers, local authorities and key stakeholders;
- Mentor junior engineers and support team development;
- Oversee design outputs using Civil 3D, MicroDrainage and associated design software;
- Ensure projects are delivered to the highest technical and commercial standards;
- Support fee proposals, tenders and business development activities;
- Play a key role in the long-term growth of the residential development business.
