A Commissioning Engineer opportunity with a leading organization delivering complex data center and mission-critical projects. This role offers hands-on exposure to commissioning activities across MEP systems and provides an excellent platform for developing your career within the rapidly growing data center sector.

THE ROLE
As a Commissioning Engineer, you will support the commissioning process from system installation through testing, startup, and final acceptance. You will work closely with project teams, vendors, subcontractors, and commissioning leadership to ensure critical building systems operate in accordance with design intent and project requirements.

This position will give you valuable experience across HVAC, electrical, plumbing, controls, and building automation systems within mission-critical environments.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

  • Support the development and execution of commissioning plans, schedules, and procedures.
  • Attend commissioning meetings and document project actions and outcomes.
  • Review submittals, shop drawings, equipment documentation, and technical packages.
  • Coordinate commissioning activities with contractors, vendors, and third-party stakeholders.
  • Assist with equipment inspections, pre-functional testing, and system readiness reviews.
  • Verify installation quality across HVAC, electrical, mechanical, controls, and related systems.
  • Support energization, startup, and commissioning activities while maintaining compliance with NFPA 70E and LOTO requirements.
  • Track commissioning issues, deficiencies, and corrective actions through to closeout.
  • Maintain commissioning reports, logs, and project documentation.
  • Support delivery of key project milestones, including substantial completion and system acceptance.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or relevant industry experience.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience within commissioning, MEP, mission-critical, or a related technical environment.
  • Understanding of building systems including:
    • HVAC
    • Electrical systems
    • Plumbing systems
    • Fire protection systems
    • Building automation systems
  • Familiarity with commissioning processes and industry standards.
  • Knowledge of ASHRAE and LEED standards would be advantageous.
  • Strong coordination, documentation, and communication skills.
