An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Electrical Design Engineer to join a highly regarded Building Services Consultancy delivering a diverse range of projects across the commercial, residential, education, healthcare and mixed-use sectors.

The Role
As a Senior Electrical Design Engineer, you will lead the design and delivery of electrical building services solutions across multiple projects from concept through to completion.
You will play a key role in client engagement, technical decision-making and multidisciplinary project coordination while supporting the development of junior engineers within the team.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead electrical building services design projects through all RIBA stages
- Design low-voltage power distribution systems
- Produce lighting, emergency lighting and small power designs
- Prepare specifications, reports and technical calculations
- Coordinate designs with Mechanical, Structural and Architectural teams
- Attend client, design team and site meetings
- Ensure compliance with BS7671, Building Regulations and industry best practice
- Review and supervise technical drawings and project deliverables
- Mentor and support junior Electrical Design Engineers
- Manage project deadlines and deliver high-quality engineering solutions
Skills & Experience
- Proven experience as a Senior Electrical Design Engineer within Building Services
- Degree qualified in Electrical Engineering or Building Services Engineering
- Strong knowledge of electrical building services design
- Experience with software including Revit, AutoCAD, Amtech, Dialux or Relux
- Understanding of power distribution, lighting design and building regulations
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deliver work to agreed programmes
