Are you an ambitious Mechanical Engineer looking to take the next step in your Building Services career?

We’re partnering with a well-established and growing multidisciplinary consultancy in London that is looking to appoint an Intermediate Mechanical Engineer to join its expanding MEP team.

This is an excellent opportunity to work on high-profile projects across a variety of sectors while receiving mentorship from experienced engineers and gaining greater responsibility in project delivery.

The Opportunity

As part of a collaborative design team, you’ll contribute to the delivery of innovative and sustainable mechanical building services solutions across a diverse project portfolio, including:

  • Commercial workplaces
  • Residential and mixed-use developments
  • Education facilities
  • Healthcare environments
  • Student accommodation
  • Leisure and hospitality projects

You’ll be involved throughout the design process, working across multiple RIBA stages and supporting projects from concept through to technical design and delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Producing mechanical building services designs and calculations
  • Developing HVAC, public health and energy-efficient design solutions
  • Assisting with technical specifications and reports
  • Supporting project delivery across RIBA Stages 2-5
  • Coordinating with electrical engineers, architects and wider design teams
  • Attending client, design team and project meetings
  • Contributing to sustainable and low-carbon engineering strategies
  • Supporting site inspections and project reviews where required

What We’re Looking For

We’re keen to speak with candidates who have:

  • Proven experience within a Building Services or MEP Consultancy environment
  • Experience delivering mechanical building services designs
  • A degree or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services Engineering
  • Knowledge of industry standards, regulations and design practices
  • Experience using design software such as Hevacomp, IES, Revit or similar
  • An understanding of projects across various RIBA stages
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • A proactive attitude and desire to continue developing technically and professionally

Chartership support or progress toward CEng status would be advantageous but is not essential.
