As part of a major expansion strategy, they are seeking a Director of Mechanical Engineering to lead mechanical engineering strategy, innovation, design standards, and technical leadership across a growing portfolio of hyperscale data center developments.

What You Will Do
As Director of Mechanical Engineering, you will:
- Lead Mechanical Engineering strategy across a portfolio of mission-critical developments.
- Drive design innovation, engineering standards, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Lead and develop a team of Mechanical Engineering SMEs and technical leaders.
- Influence design decisions from site selection and conceptual design through construction and commissioning.
- Partner with executive leadership, construction, operations, sales, consultants, and vendors to deliver world-class facilities.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and identify opportunities to improve performance, efficiency, sustainability, and scalability.
- Ensure Mechanical Engineering best practices are implemented across the organization.
- Drive technical excellence throughout the full project lifecycle.
What We’re Looking For
To be successful in this Director of Mechanical Engineering position, you will likely possess:
- 15+ years of Mechanical Engineering, design, and construction experience.
- Extensive experience within data centers, mission-critical facilities, or comparable complex infrastructure environments.
- A proven track record leading Mechanical Engineering teams and managing technical professionals.
- Strong knowledge of design, construction, commissioning, and operational processes.
- Expertise across MEP systems and critical infrastructure design.
- Excellent stakeholder management and executive communication skills.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Professional Engineer (PE) registration is highly desirable.
Compensation & Benefits Base Salary $230,000 – $250,000

Location Hybrid working arrangement available across multiple North American locations.
Travel Approximately 15% to 25% travel across North America.
