Senior or Principal Civil Engineer – Highways & Infrastructure
Location: London
Salary: £55,000 – £65,000
Start Date: ASAP
We’re looking for a Senior or Principal Civil Engineer to join our Development & Infrastructure team. This is a leadership role, not a design position — our top tier consultancy client need someone who can drive projects forward, manage client relationships, and coordinate complex packages across major developments.
What We’re Looking For:
- 10+ years’ experience in civil engineering, ideally in highways and infrastructure (not major highways).
- Strong background in utility diversions, S38/S278, drainage, and flood risk assessments.
- Proven experience leading enabling works, temporary works, and development packages.
- Ability to manage change control and ensure project delivery aligns with scope and budget.
- Comfortable taking a project leadership role, coordinating across multiple stakeholders.
- Experience working with or within consultancies who are Civil Engineering led.
- Chartered status preferred for Principal level. If not yet chartered, you must be committed to achieving it within 2 years for the Senior level.
