Senior Electrical Design Engineer – Building Services
Location: Bristol
Type: Full-Time | Hybrid Working
The Opportunity
An exciting opportunity for a Senior Electrical Design Engineer to join a leading multidisciplinary consultancy delivering innovative building services projects across the commercial, healthcare, residential, life sciences and data centre sectors.
Working as part of an experienced MEP team, you’ll lead the design and delivery of electrical building services solutions from concept through to completion, while supporting junior engineers and developing client relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Design electrical building services systems including LV power distribution, lighting, emergency lighting and small power.
- Produce calculations, specifications and technical reports.
- Deliver projects through all design stages and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams.
- Attend client meetings, site visits and commissioning activities.
- Lead project delivery, manage technical quality and mentor junior engineers.
About You
- Degree qualified in Electrical or Building Services Engineering.
- Experience as an Electrical Design Engineer or Senior Electrical Design Engineer within a Building Services Consultancy.
- Strong knowledge of electrical building services design and relevant UK standards.
- Experience using software such as Revit, AutoCAD, DIALux and Amtech/Trimble ProDesign.
- Working towards or already achieved IEng/CEng status.
- Excellent communication and project leadership skills.
Please note: This role requires prior building services consultancy experience.
