Are you a Structural Engineer looking for more involvement in projects rather than simply being given calculations to complete?

Are you looking for a consultancy where you can develop towards chartership while gradually taking on more project responsibility?

An established and design-focused engineering consultancy is looking for a Structural Engineer to join their team in Guildford. You’ll be joining a collaborative environment where engineers are encouraged to contribute ideas, work closely with clients and architects, and develop their technical skills across a varied range of projects.

We Are Looking For A Structural Engineer Who:

• Has around 3–6 years’ structural engineering experience;
• Has experience working within a UK structural engineering consultancy;
• Is comfortable designing in steel, concrete, timber and masonry;
• Has experience taking building structures through different stages of design;
• Is working towards chartership with the IStructE or ICE;
• Is confident communicating with architects, contractors and clients;
• Has the right to work in the UK.

As The Successful Structural Engineer, You Will:

• Work on a variety of interesting and technically challenging structural projects;
• Get involved from early-stage concepts through to detailed design and construction;
• Work closely with architects and other members of the wider design team;
• Develop your experience in refurbishment, reuse and sustainable structural design;
• Attend client meetings and site visits;
• Take on more responsibility as your experience develops;
• Receive support towards your professional development and chartership.
