Structural Engineer Newcastle or Leeds (Hybrid)
£40,000 – £55,000 + Quarterly Bonus

A growing multidisciplinary engineering consultancy is seeking a Structural Engineer to join its established team in Newcastle or Leeds. Working alongside civil, structural, geotechnical and geoenvironmental specialists, the successful Structural Engineer will contribute to a diverse portfolio of projects across the data centre, residential development and commercial sectors.
With an increasing workload across both data centres and residential developments, this is an excellent opportunity for a Structural Engineer looking to expand their technical expertise whilst taking ownership of projects from concept design through to construction.
The business prides itself on offering engineers genuine responsibility, exposure to senior decision-makers and clear progression opportunities within both the Newcastle and Leeds offices.
We Are Looking For A Structural Engineer Who:
- Holds a degree in Civil or Structural Engineering;
- Has at least 3 years’ experience within a structural engineering consultancy environment;
- Has experience designing structures in steel, concrete, timber and masonry;
- Is proficient in structural design software and AutoCAD;
- Has experience delivering residential development, commercial or data centre projects;
- Can produce design calculations, technical reports and structural specifications;
- Has strong communication skills and enjoys collaborating with multidisciplinary teams;
- Is working towards Chartership with the IStructE or ICE, or already Chartered;
- Is keen to further their career within either the Newcastle or Leeds office.
As The Successful Structural Engineer, You Will:
- Deliver structural designs across data centre, residential development and commercial projects;
- Produce structural calculations, reports and design documentation;
- Work closely with civil engineers, geotechnical engineers and external consultants;
- Contribute to projects from feasibility through to detailed design and construction support;
- Liaise with architects, contractors and clients throughout project delivery;
- Support the delivery of major data centre developments across the UK and internationally;
- Assist with technical reviews and quality assurance processes;
- Mentor junior engineers where appropriate;
- Play a key role in the continued growth of the Newcastle and Leeds structural engineering teams.
