Commissioning Manager – Data Centres
Tulsa, OK & Harlingen, TX | Mission Critical

An experienced Commissioning Manager is required for mission-critical data centre projects in Tulsa, Oklahoma and Harlingen, Texas, plus a comprehensive benefits package. You will lead commissioning from preconstruction through final acceptance, acting as the central point of coordination for complex MEP systems and project stakeholders.

THE ROLE

As Commissioning Manager, you will own project commissioning plans, schedules and scopes while coordinating subcontractors, vendors, design consultants and third-party commissioning authorities. You will oversee installation verification, equipment start-up, functional testing, issue resolution and system turnover across HVAC, electrical, plumbing, life safety and controls.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

  • Act as the primary project contact for commissioning and lead the process from preconstruction through closeout.
  • Develop and manage project-specific commissioning plans, schedules and scopes of work.
  • Coordinate commissioning activities with subcontractors, vendors and third-party commissioning authorities.
  • Oversee equipment inspections, pre-functional testing, installation verification, vendor pre-start-up and start-up activities.
  • Ensure HVAC, electrical, plumbing, life safety and controls systems are installed, started and functionally tested to project requirements.
  • Track commissioning issues and deficiencies through resolution and support substantial completion and final acceptance milestones.
  • Support energisation activities in compliance with NFPA 70E, lockout/tagout (LOTO) and project safety procedures.
  • Lead commissioning meetings and walkthroughs and mentor Commissioning Engineers across commissioning Levels 1-5.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

  • A minimum of 5 years of MEP construction and commissioning experience, including at least 3 years in mission-critical environments
  • Strong understanding of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire protection and building automation systems.
  • A bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering, or relevant experience.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple stakeholders and coordinate complex project activities.
  • Working knowledge of owner requirements, NEC, ASHRAE standards, local energy codes, NFPA 70E and LOTO procedures.
