Construction Superintendant Job, South Carolina

THE ROLE

You will be the on-site field execution authority for a major HPC facility, taking ownership of daily construction sequencing and schedule delivery across active trades.
As Construction Superintendent, you will work directly with the general contractor’s site leadership and trade subcontractors, resolving field conflicts and maintaining the pace of construction. You will also coordinate closely with MEP, QA/QC and commissioning stakeholders to ensure installations are ready for inspection and turnover.
This is a hands-on field leadership position for someone who understands how construction actually gets built, not simply how it looks on a programme.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

• Own and maintain the master construction schedule, including 2-week and 6-week look-aheads.
• Direct daily field coordination across the GC and trade subcontractors.
• Resolve cross-trade sequencing issues before they impact the schedule.
• Conduct regular site walks to verify progress and sequencing.
• Manage logistics, access, laydown areas, labour, equipment and material staging.
• Coordinate manpower loading and trade stacking in constrained work areas.
• Maintain daily reports covering progress, manpower and schedule deviations.
• Enforce site safety requirements and exercise stop-work authority where required.
• Coordinate MEP installation sequencing and equipment delivery timing.
• Drive readiness for QA/QC inspections, walk-downs and commissioning turnover.
• Represent field execution and schedule status at OAC and stakeholder meetings.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

• 8+ years of hands-on field superintendent experience within commercial or industrial construction.
• Previous hands-on experience in at least one construction trade before progressing into supervision.
• A proven record of resolving complex cross-trade sequencing issues on active construction sites.
• Strong knowledge of coordination drawings, RFIs and construction documents across MEP, structural and architectural scopes.
• Proficiency with Primavera P6, Procore and BIM 360.
• OSHA 30 certification.
• High school diploma.
• Legal authorisation to work in the United States without current or future employer sponsorship.

Mission-critical or data center construction experience is strongly preferred. Trade school or another technical qualification would also be advantageous.
