Are you a Senior Electrical Engineer looking for greater project ownership and the opportunity to lead the delivery of complex, high-profile developments?
We’re partnering with an award-winning engineering consultancy that is investing heavily in the growth of its Cambridge team.
Due to continued project wins, they’re looking to appoint a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead electrical design packages across some of the UK’s most prestigious Science & Research, Healthcare and Commercial developments.
This role would suit someone who enjoys combining technical excellence with client engagement, project leadership and team development.
The Role
As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you’ll take responsibility for leading projects and managing the electrical discipline from concept design through to project completion.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading electrical design delivery on complex building projects.
- Managing client relationships and acting as a key point of contact.
- Taking ownership of project programmes, budgets and technical outputs.
- Producing and reviewing electrical calculations, specifications and reports.
- Coordinating with internal multidisciplinary teams and external stakeholders.
- Overseeing contractor design information and site activities.
- Supporting testing, commissioning and final project handovers.
- Mentoring and developing junior engineers.
- Contributing to business development and future project opportunities.
About You
- Degree qualified in Electrical or Building Services Engineering.
- Significant experience within a Building Services consultancy.
- Strong technical understanding of LV distribution, lighting, standby power and electrical infrastructure.
- Proven experience leading projects and coordinating teams.
- Strong client-facing and stakeholder management skills.
- Working towards or already holding CEng status.
- Commercial awareness and the ability to manage project risks and deliverables.
