I am recruiting for a leading construction and project delivery organisation that is expanding its presence across the mission critical and large-scale industrial construction sector. Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint an experienced Senior MEP Project Manager to lead complex projects across the United States.
This is a high-profile leadership opportunity where you will oversee multiple project teams, drive project success from pre-construction through completion, and play a key role in developing client relationships and securing future work. Please note: This is a travelling position requiring up to 100% travel across various project locations throughout the USA.
The Role As a Senior MEP Project Manager, you will provide strategic leadership across multiple construction projects while ensuring exceptional delivery standards, client satisfaction, commercial performance, and team development.
You will work closely with project teams, clients, consultants, subcontractors, and senior stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and profitably.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Lead and mentor Project Managers, Assistant Project Managers, and site-based teams
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously while maximising profitability and client satisfaction
- Review project specifications and identify risks before project commencement
- Develop proactive mitigation and contingency plans to manage project risks
- Drive strong relationships with clients, consultants, and subcontractor partners
- Support business development activities, client presentations, and project pursuits
- Identify new project opportunities within target sectors and regions
- Oversee contract administration, commercial management, and change order processes
- Collaborate with estimating and pre-construction teams during bid and proposal stages
- Ensure project quality plans are implemented and adhered to throughout delivery
- Monitor progress, reporting, schedules, budgets, and project controls
- Ensure timely completion of project documentation, closeout packages, and reporting requirements
- Work closely with field leadership to deliver outstanding project outcomes
What You’ll Need
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or a related discipline
- Significant experience delivering commercial, industrial, mission critical, or complex infrastructure projects
- Proven experience as a Senior MEP Project Manager or Project Manager leading large-scale construction programmes
- Strong background managing Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing (MEP) scopes
- Demonstrated success leading cross-functional project teams
- Excellent commercial awareness and contractor management experience
- Strong understanding of construction scheduling and project controls
- Proficiency with Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or similar planning software
- Strong communication, client-facing, presentation, and leadership skills
- Ability and willingness to travel extensively throughout the United States
