Commissioning Authority – Building Systems – California – MEP Data Center Building Systems
We are recruiting for a leading engineering consultancy seeking a Commissioning Authority to support complex building projects across the San Francisco Bay Area or Los Angeles region.
The Role As a Commissioning Authority, you will oversee commissioning activities from design through project completion, ensuring building systems perform as intended.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Carry out and review commissioning design assessments.
- Develop commissioning plans, pre-functional checklists and performance tests.
- Lead functional testing of mechanical, electrical and control systems.
- Conduct energy audits and retro-commissioning projects.
- Manage commissioning activities on small to medium-sized projects.
What You’ll Need
- 3+ years’ experience in building commissioning, mechanical design, HVAC controls or test & balance.
- Strong knowledge of MEP and DDC systems.
- Experience testing equipment such as chillers, boilers, cooling towers, AHUs and backup power systems.
- Ability to interpret construction drawings and specifications.
- Strong troubleshooting, communication and project management skills.
- Willingness to travel up to 40%.
