What You Will Do
As the Thermal Liquid Cooling Subject Matter Expert, you will:
- Lead technical strategy for large-scale liquid cooling deployments.
- Serve as the organization’s primary authority on direct-to-chip, immersion, cold plate, and hybrid cooling systems.
- Support projects throughout design, construction, commissioning, and operational phases.
- Provide technical leadership for pumps, valves, heat exchangers, piping networks, and fluid distribution systems.
- Apply heat transfer and fluid dynamics expertise to validate system performance and optimize cooling efficiency.
- Lead thermal validation, flow balancing, hydrostatic testing, and commissioning activities.
- Develop monitoring strategies, controls integration, alarm logic, and fail-safe operating procedures.
- Conduct root cause analysis for thermal and cooling-related incidents.
- Create maintenance strategies, operational procedures, and technical training programs.
- Partner with internal teams and external vendors to continuously improve infrastructure performance.
What We’re Looking For
To be successful as a Thermal Liquid Cooling Subject Matter Expert, you will likely possess:
- 7+ years of experience within thermal management, liquid cooling, industrial cooling systems, critical infrastructure, or related engineering disciplines.
- Experience supporting deployment, operation, or maintenance of liquid cooling systems within data centers, hyperscale environments, manufacturing facilities, or mission-critical infrastructure.
- Strong understanding of heat transfer, fluid mechanics, water treatment, pumping systems, and heat exchangers.
- Experience commissioning and troubleshooting complex cooling infrastructure.
- Ability to interpret P&IDs, mechanical drawings, schematics, and flow diagrams.
- Familiarity with PLC, BMS, SCADA, and industrial control systems.
- Proven ability to lead complex technical projects and influence stakeholders.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to bridge engineering design and field execution.
Highly desirable experience includes:
- Hyperscale data centers.
- AI infrastructure.
- High-performance computing environments.
- Direct Liquid Cooling (DLC).
- Immersion cooling technologies.
- CDU systems and secondary fluid networks.

Work remotely while supporting critical infrastructure projects across multiple locations.
Travel
Significant travel required
You will regularly travel to support site commissioning, troubleshooting, operational initiatives, and new infrastructure deployments.
