Project Controls Analyst | $130,000-$150,000 + Travel Opportunities + Major Construction Projects A leading construction and infrastructure organisation seeking an experienced Project Controls Analyst to join a growing team delivering large-scale projects across the United States.
This is an excellent opportunity for a Project Controls Analyst who enjoys working on complex, high-value projects and wants exposure to major industrial, commercial, aviation and infrastructure developments. Based in Miami, Florida, you will have the opportunity to travel to project locations across multiple states while playing a key role in project delivery, cost control and commercial performance.
The Role As a Project Controls Analyst, you will work closely with Project Managers, Project Engineers and Site Leadership teams to support the successful planning, execution and financial management of major construction projects valued at over $50 million.
You will be responsible for maintaining project controls processes, monitoring performance, managing reporting requirements and ensuring projects remain on track financially and operationally.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Supporting project planning, coordination and project controls activities
- Managing monthly forecasting and final cost at completion (FAC) reporting
- Monitoring budgets, commitments, actual costs and cost performance
- Producing job cost analysis reports and variance reporting
- Supporting project schedule management using Primavera P6 and/or MS Project
- Preparing project status reports and management updates
- Attending and documenting weekly project coordination meetings
- Assisting with contract administration and change management processes
- Processing subcontractor payment applications and back charges
- Maintaining project documentation and document control systems
- Supporting risk register management and mitigation activities
- Assisting with punch-list, closeout and warranty management processes
- Collaborating with operational teams on procurement, inspections, permits and construction progress
What You’ll Need To be successful in this Project Controls Analyst position, you will ideally have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management or a related discipline
- 5+ years’ experience within construction, engineering or infrastructure projects
- Experience working on projects valued above $50 million
- Strong cost control, forecasting and project reporting experience
- Knowledge of construction accounting principles and project financial management
- Experience using Procore and Sage software
- Scheduling experience with Primavera P6 and/or Microsoft Project
- Strong document control and contract administration skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced project environment
- Willingness to travel up to 30%
- Spanish and English language skills would be advantageous
