The Opportunity

We are seeking a dynamic Associate Director to lead a multi-disciplinary team on technically challenging and high-profile projects. The successful candidate will be instrumental in delivering outstanding service to clients, while supporting the strategic growth and development of the business. This is a leadership role that requires a balance of technical expertise, team leadership, and commercial insight.


Key Responsibilities

As Associate Director / Director, you will be responsible for:

  • Leading and managing a high-performing team within your office or functional group

  • Acting as a technical or sector lead in one or more key areas

  • Ensuring successful project delivery with a focus on quality and client satisfaction

  • Contributing to long-term strategic planning and business development

  • Overseeing recruitment, performance, and professional development of team members

  • Promoting continuous learning and sharing of knowledge across teams

  • Managing financial performance, including profitability and cash flow

  • Procuring new business and negotiating significant client or supplier agreements

  • Serving as a subject matter expert within your region or discipline

  • Resolving complex challenges and providing sound technical direction

  • Leading with integrity and promoting a culture of respect, inclusion, and fairness


Requirements

  • Chartered Engineer (CEng) or equivalent professional accreditation

  • Recognised expertise and leadership experience within the engineering consultancy sector

  • Strong track record of project delivery and team management

  • Excellent commercial, communication, and interpersonal skills

  • Commitment to driving excellence, innovation, and inclusive leadership
