The Role

You’ll work collaboratively to design and analyse building structures, delivering innovative and practical solutions across project lifecycles — from inception to handover. You’ll produce detailed designs, drawings, specifications, and technical reports, using 3D software packages and industry-standard tools.

You’ll also have the opportunity to support junior engineers, mentor team members, and develop leadership skills through supervision of design staff and technical guidance. Working as part of a fully integrated multidisciplinary team, you’ll contribute to efficient, sustainable, and safe structural solutions while liaising with clients and architects.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver structural engineering designs, drawings, and specifications.

• Produce high-quality technical reports for internal and external audiences.

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, clients, and architects.

• Supervise and mentor junior engineers, checking calculations and designs.

• Ensure compliance with CDM Regulations, British Standards, and sustainability targets.

• Manage multiple tasks, prioritising to meet deadlines.

• Contribute ideas for innovative and sustainable design solutions.

About You

• Degree-qualified in Civil or Structural Engineering (or equivalent).

• Chartered Engineer (or working towards chartership).

• Strong understanding of CDM Regulations and designer responsibilities.

• Experience working with British Standards.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Organised, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities.

• Passionate about creative, innovative, and sustainable structural design.
