Rate: £450 per day

About the Role:

We’re looking for an experienced Fire Risk Assessor to work on-site at Hinkley Point, one of the UK’s largest infrastructure projects. This is a short-term contract role lasting between 3 to 6 months.

You’ll be responsible for carrying out fire risk assessments across the site, ensuring that all areas meet fire safety standards. You’ll need to produce clear, detailed reports and make practical recommendations to help reduce fire risks.

Key Responsibilities:

• Carry out fire risk assessments in line with relevant legislation and standards (e.g., Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005)

• Identify fire hazards and risks in various environments (offices, temporary structures, etc.)

• Recommend improvements or actions to reduce fire risk

• Prepare detailed and easy-to-understand reports

• Liaise with site teams, contractors, and safety managers

• Ensure documentation is accurate and up to date

• Support ongoing fire safety compliance across the site

What We’re Looking For:

• Previous experience in fire risk assessments (ideally on large or high-risk sites)

• Recognised fire risk assessment qualification (e.g. NEBOSH Fire, IFE, IFSM, or equivalent)

• Strong understanding of UK fire safety legislation

• Ability to write clear, concise, and professional reports

• Good communication and interpersonal skills

• Comfortable working on a busy and complex site

• You must be able to travel to Hinkley Point daily or stay locally during the week
   
• PPE and induction will be provided
• Flexible start for the right candidate

Desirable:

• Experience working on nuclear, energy, or major construction projects

• Security clearance or ability to obtain it
