The Role

The South West Transport Planning team in Bristol is seeking a Senior/Principal Transport Planner. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Developing transport strategies and providing expert witness evidence.

  • Leading and managing various project types, including client liaison, financial management, and quality management.

  • Overseeing multiple projects and managing team members involved in project delivery.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • Qualifications: Chartered status in a transport-related field with extensive technical knowledge and practical experience.

  • Leadership: Proven experience in developing Transport Strategies, Infrastructure Delivery Plans, and parking strategies. Ability to delegate resources, manage tight deadlines, and liaise with clients.

  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in junction capacity modelling software (Junctions 10, Linsig) and designing junctions. Familiarity with S106, S278 agreements, NPPF, and DfT Transport Assessment guidelines.

  • Personal Qualities: Kind, conscientious, and proud of your work. A mentor to others and a team player who values the contributions of colleagues.
