Job Title: Accounts Payable Administrator

Location: Swindon
Salary: Up to £28,000 per annum

 

About the Role:

We’re looking for a reliable and organised Accounts Payable Administrator to support our busy Finance team. You’ll be responsible for making sure supplier invoices and payments are processed accurately and on time. This includes checking invoice details, entering data into our systems, dealing with queries, and helping with day-to-day finance tasks.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Receive and log incoming invoices via email.
  • Distribute invoices to the right people for approval.
  • Enter supplier invoices into our SAP finance system.
  • Check that Goods Received Notes (GRNs) from site managers are accurate.
  • Support staff with SAP-related queries and data entry.
  • Enter invoices that don’t have purchase orders and make sure they’re coded correctly.
  • Handle basic supplier queries and escalate if needed.
  • Scan invoices into SAP and make sure they are matched to the right entries.
  • Do regular supplier statement reconciliations to confirm account balances.
  • Accurately enter and code company credit card (Barclaycard) statements.
  • Enter employee expense claims into SAP with correct coding.
  • Process payment runs through SAP as required.
  • Provide cover for colleagues, including helping with subcontractor payments when needed.

 

What You’ll Need:

  • Previous experience in an accounts payable or finance admin role.
  • Good attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
  • Confidence using finance systems – experience with SAP is a big plus.
  • Basic understanding of accounting principles (UK GAAP knowledge desirable).
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Strong communication skills and a helpful attitude.
  • Team player who is happy to help out and learn new tasks.
