Bid Assistant – Built Environment Consultancy
Location: London

1-Year Fixed-Term Contract (Potential to Go Permanent)
£27500 per annum

Are you a detail-driven professional with a flair for coordination and communication? A leading consultancy within the built environment sector is seeking a Bid Assistant to join their dynamic team in London.

About the Role

This is a varied and fast-paced position where you’ll work closely with the Bids Co-ordinator, Practice Director, Project Managers, and the wider Business Support Team. You’ll play a key role in driving projects from initial enquiry through to successful bid submission and handover to the delivery team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate tender activities from expression of interest to final submission

  • Review bid documentation and identify key requirements and deadlines

  • Collaborate with technical teams to ensure bid responses are tailored and complete

  • Proofread and format submission documents to a high standard

  • Support the creation of marketing and presentation materials

  • Maintain accurate records and supporting documentation

  • Liaise with internal teams for invoicing and compliance documentation

What We’re Looking For

Essential Skills:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication

  • Strong copywriting and editing skills

  • Highly organised with the ability to multitask and meet tight deadlines

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Outlook

  • Previous experience in a bid coordination or similar role

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience in marketing, business development, or bid writing

  • Background in engineering, architecture, or consultancy sectors

  • Familiarity with databases and document management systems

  • Calm under pressure and able to work independently
