The Role

The consultancy is seeking a Principal ICT Design Engineer to lead and oversee the full ICT design lifecycle across large-scale and complex projects. This role involves driving technical strategy, ensuring design coordination across disciplines, and mentoring teams to deliver world-class ICT infrastructure solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead ICT design scope, including structured cabling, backbone infrastructure, active networks, Wi-Fi, and data/telecom room layouts.

• Provide technical direction and oversee detailed design documents, drawings, and procurement packs.

• Coordinate ICT systems with ELV, AV, security, and MEP disciplines to ensure seamless integration.

• Conduct design reviews, site inspections, and commissioning oversight to maintain design integrity.

• Mentor junior engineers and support a culture of technical excellence and innovation.

• Engage directly with clients to align designs with strategic and operational objectives.

What You Bring

• 5 – 7 years of experience in ICT or ELV consultancy, delivering high-profile projects.

• Expertise in fiber optics, redundancy planning, structured cabling, and campus or data center networks.

• Strong leadership and client-facing skills with proven multi-disciplinary coordination experience.

• Proficiency in AutoCAD and BIM/Revit.

• Bachelor’s degree in ICT, Electrical Engineering, or a related field (Master’s preferred).

• Bonus: Experience with data center hyperscale or mission-critical facility design.
